Finding Crime in a Wimbledon Bookstore
Part of my London tennis adventure
The most exciting thing I did this year, besides completing my mystery novel, was take a trip to Wimbledon. I saw all my favorite players, including Americans Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula, and Italian sensations Jasmine Paolini and Jannik Sinner.
But days before Wimbledon started, I took the tube over to Wimbledon Village and strolled the town, ending up at the adorable Wimbledon Books.
It’s a quaint little shop that besides books, sells toys, puzzles, stationary, cute stuffed animals and lots of tennis themed gifts.
Needless to say, I was startled when I found “The Little Book of Criminology: A Pocket Guide to the Study of Crime and Criminal Minds.” As a mystery writer, I’m always on the lookout for cool reference books, so of course I bought it and started off my Wimbledon week right.
